Giveaway: Two Thinksport Insulated Sports Bottles

The generous folks at Thinksport have offered up a fabulous giveaway this week!

Thinksport is giving away two (2) Thinksport Insulated 25 ounce Sports Bottles:

ts22

(Giveaway details at bottom of post).

I received a Thinksport Insulated Sports Bottle to review, and this is one fantastic reusable bottle.

Here’s my sleek stainless steel bottle.   I *heart*  it.

ts2

This bottle has some pretty awesome features that stand out from the average stainless steel bottles.

Looky here:

t8

Impressive list, huh?  I thought so too.

The highlights:

  • free of BPA (bisphenol-A), cadmium, nitrosamines, phthalates, lead, and PVC
  • solid stainless steel inside and out
  • comes in four funky colors
  • has a 2-piece lid
  • wide-mouthed (ice cubes fit inside!)
  • double-walled and heavily insulated
  • no mysterious chemical lining inside the bottles like some reusable bottles have.  This is stainless steel lined.
  • has a cool little steel mesh screen to stop tea leaves or ice cubes from being swallowed.

I usually use Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottles, and I really appreciate the differences between my trusty old Klean Kanteens and this Thinksport Bottle.  Most impressive to me is the fact that it is double-walled.  This means that I can pour icy cold water into the bottle AND add ice cubes, and the outside of the bottle does not get cold or sweat.  Double-walled also means that I can pour boiling water inside the bottle and the outside of the bottle does not get hot.  I REALLY like that feature, since this has become my hot tea bottle — I never ever burn my hands on the bottle.  Which is great, because I hate when that happens.

This bottle is vacuum-sealed and HEAVILY insulated.  And when I say “heavily insulated”, I’m not kidding!

I can pour boiling water into the bottle and add teabags or tea leaves at 7 a.m., pop the cap on, and leave the house shortly afterwards for a full day of homeschooling activities and classes with my kids.  Sometime around 4 p.m., I usually remember that I brought myself some tea to enjoy…and that tea is still WAY too hot to drink.  Like, mouth-scalding hot! After 9 hours in the bottle, it is still almost as hot as when I made it.

Is that not SO impressive?

My second favorite thing about these Thinksport bottles is the little steel mesh screen that snaps into the mouth of the bottle.  This is a clever little design and it really is wonderful for keeping ice cubes or tea bags/tea leaves from entering the spout and being swallowed.  LOVE that wee mesh screen.  Love it!

So, before we get to the giveaway, let me show you how I’ve used my Thinksport bottle lately.   This bottle ROCKS.

The cap can be removed two ways, depending on your needs.

There’s a spout if that’s what you like:

ts15

Or you can unscrew the wider part of the lid (see the wee mesh screen in there?):

ts16

Take 2 organic green tea bags:

ts1

Remove the cute mesh screen and stuff the two tea bags into the bottle, like so:

t6

Pour in some boiling water:

t7

Pop the mesh screen back into place:

ts18

Put on the screw cap and your tea will steep while staying nice and hot (and I do mean HOT) inside the bottle.

Nice hot green tea (and I do mean HOT!)  after 8 hours in the Thinksport bottle:

ts3

I also like to make tea by adding bulk organic rooibos tea leaves to  the Thinksport bottle:

ts13

Add boiling water:

t4

Put the mesh screen back in place:

ts17

Let it steep with the lid on as you carry on your merry way.  This rooibos tea was SCALDING after 8 hours.  That’s some impressive insulation!

And the little mesh screen worked perfectly — I had no tea leaves floating in my tea or stuck in my teeth afterwards.  BONUS!

One last hot beverage that I like to make in my spiffy new Thinksport Bottle….

Luscious, creamy, dreamy vegan hot cocoa:

ts11

So there are my Thinksport Action Shots.  My bottle gets plenty of use, and this is an excellent insulated steel bottle — I am very happy with it!  If you celebrate the holiday season, it would make a fantastic stocking stuffer or gift for anyone on your list.  It runs about $20 or less on most sites that I’ve seen it on. It’s easy to clean, keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, and comes in 4 eye-catching colors.

Would you like to have your own spiffy Thinksport Insulated Bottle?

Thinksport is offering up two fabulous bottles — two winners will each win a 25 ounce Thinksport bottle.  Winners will have a choice of the 25 ounce (750 mL) Metallic Purple or Metallic Blue color (no black or silver bottles available at this time).

Contest will run through Thursday December 10th, and two winners will be picked by random number generator.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post.  For an extra entry, tweet this contest and come back and leave me a link to your tweet.

Good luck!  Two lucky readers will soon be sipping in style!

I would love to win! Those look great. My only complaint with my Kleen Kanteen is that the wide mouth sometimes means that I “water” my entire face instead of just getting a drink.

Sheri, I have been coveting the Thinksport since I first heard of it, over a year ago. :) It was more than I wanted to spend on a water bottle, so I cheaped out and got a regular stainless steel one, and have regretted it ever since! This could be my chance to redeem myself. lol

    Thanks!
    Alissa
