The very generous Kevin from thinkbaby recently sent me this thinkbaby BPA-free Feeding Set, and oh my word. This little feeding set is fantastic. Love it! We’ve been using it regularly, and a couple of my children even fight over who gets to use it.
Sometimes I fight them for it too.
It’s THAT cool.
I absolutely love this little set!
In fact, I think I’ve died and gone to Feeding Set Heaven.
The feeding set comes packaged in a cute little box, and includes:
- 9 oz bento box with lid
- 10 oz soup bowl with lid
- 10 oz baby bowl with lid
- 7 oz cup with chunky handle
- a child-sized chunky spoon and fork.
This groovy-looking, sustainable feeding set is not only BPA-free, but also phthalate-free, lead-free, PVC-free, and free of melamine.
In short? NO TOXIC CHEMICALS touch your food. None. Nada. Zilch.
And that is a Very Good Thing.
The interior of this dishwasher-safe feeding set is food grade 18/10 stainless steel, and the exterior (orange part) is wrapped in polypropylene for insulation (this part does not come into any contact with the food). It’s well-insulated, well-designed, and nicely-sized for kids to manage. The bowls are a generous size and this set is perfect for a brand-new eater or a big kid too. The child-sized cup is absolutely adorable, and did I mention there is a Bento Box? A cute little Bento Box! To top it all off, the set is a retro & funky orange color. It’s fun, functional, and non-toxic — the perfect combination for reusable food storage.
And we couldn’t wait to try it out.
Thinkbaby, we love you. Let me show you the ways…
Broccoli thinkbaby:
(lightly steamed broccoli, tossed in miso, olive oil, and garlic)
Trail Mix thinkbaby:
(raw, organic, homemade trail mix)
Blackberry thinkbaby:
(plump, organic blackberries)
Chickpea-crunchies thinkbaby:
(dried chickpeas, soaked and cooked, and then tossed in olive oil and seasonings and baked til crispy)
Raw Onion Dip & Snap Peas thinkbaby:
(sunflower-seed onion dip with side of snap pea pieces)
Split Pea Soup thinkbaby:
(homemade vegan split pea soup with carrots, onion, and lots of fresh garlic)
Rabbit Food thinkbaby:
(red and green bell peppers, yellow carrots, cucumber, tomato, purple cabbage, spinach, drizzled with flax oil)
Tea Time thinkbaby:
(a cooled mixture of organic teas -green tea and rooibos tea- with a Glass Dharma glass straw)
The lids snap on nice and tight, and the bento box lid is labeled as water-tight. These pack up easily into a bag for outings.
My baby was delighted to try out her new feeding set.
I said, “What do you think, Baby, about your new thinkbaby?”, and I got a happy little grin in return. And then she threw Chickpea Crunchies at my head.
These bowls hold a lot, so she shared this food with a brother who was dancing just out of camera-range while mooching snap peas off of his baby sister:
All in all, it’s a high-quality, safe, and very functional food storage set that is built to last. My Green & Crunchy kids love it!
Thanks, thinkbaby!
***Very soon, I have one more thinkbaby product to review, complete with a fabulous giveaway!

what on earth are you doing up SO early/late. lol I love the think baby orange! cant wait to read your giveaway
Too much green tea last night turned me into a night owl!
And what were YOU doing up so late, hmmm?
I love that vibrant orange color too
It was only 11 here
ooo… what lovely orange set
I love this little set! And I love the crunchy chickpeas. I have made something similar before and this just reminded me to make them again. I love all things legumes!
Yes, I love the crunchy chickpeas too…in fact, that’s MY chickpea bowl you see in the picture, not baby’s
I added a ton of nutritional yeast and a ton of flavorful seasonings and this batch of crunchies were addictive. Go make some for you and your little gal — such a fun toddler food!
Love it! I don’t have kids but I want them all for myself. The bright orange color is adorable and I love how functional and easy to travel with they look. GREAT review, thanks for introducing me to a wonderful product.
Yes, I want it for myself too! Sometimes the kids let me use it…in fact, one or two of those photos were of Mama’s Food
Oh! I’ve been coveting those sets in the grocery store. Nice to know they are so great.
I had considered this set for my toddlers when I was looking a few months ago for something to pack their food in when we are out. I really liked it but I wish they would sell the pieces separately. For me with toddlers 12 months apart the set would have worked fine had I been able to order an extra cup. I wound up getting them toddler sized lunchbots and we’ve been happy with them. They are not leak proof like these are but I don’t often pack really runny stuff when we are out of the house anyway.
You’re right, the pieces sold separately WOULD be a nice option. I’d love an extra Bento Box but, like you said, they’re sold as a set.
I’ve seen the Lunchbots and they’re quite nice too.
Toddlers 12 months apart? How fun!
I am going to have to seek out Think Baby, when I have a baby! Awesome product!!!
Please share that split pea recipe!! I love split pea, but never had it so thick, looks delicious!
P.S. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!! I would love to see the Green and Crunchy crews Thanksgiving menu!! Then I would probably envision myself sitting there along with you and your yummy meal! HAHAHA!
Hi Lauren! Oh, I know you are a soup-lover
Me too!
There’s no recipe for the vegan split pea soup in the picture, but here’s what I did:
Sauteed lots of fresh garlic, onions, and a leek in extra virgin olive oil. When soft, I tossed in cubed sweet potatoes, many cups of filtered water, red lentils, and several cups of split green peas. I added some dried spices/seasonings and let it all simmer for a while, and then added the sliced carrots (lots of them, we like it carroty) about 20-30 mins or before I removed it from the heat. I didn’t add a lot of water so it turned out really thick.
This made about 2-3 gallons of soup and we ate it for several meals — now we’re sick of it so we’ve moved on to lentil soup
YUM!!!! I never use recipes either, I just go with the flow. But I am going to use your idea! Lentils and split pea? Mmmm!
Oh, these look so nice, loving the bright orange! I had never seen them before but now I want some!
Oh and the picture of your homemade trail mix looks so good I whish I could reach in the picture and grab a handfull (ok, maby the whole thing)
Wow, I just came across your blog: fabulous! I love the feeding set!
I pack everything in plastic now, but I’m getting tired of the plastic aftertaste that it leaves on all my food… I want to get some good things to pack my food in!
I love it! And I love that your little Thinkbaby has such a healthy appetite.
Gorgeous…and I’ll be trying the Chickpeas, thx.
Thank you for posting such beautiful pictures of your family and the wonderfully healthy food you prepare. Please post the recipes for the dishes you make so we can learn from you how to feed our families with their health in mind.
That feeding set is soo cute! I want another baby JUST so I can buy that set! I wonder if it is available here in Australia? Probably not, like a lot of wonderful things I see mentioned on American and English websites. Such a shame…
What a GREAT set, not just for kids, but for adult lunches, on the go snacks, etc…stainless, adorable, snap-down lids…umm, hello, I have only spent years looking for something like that, gave up, and went back to gladware (BPA and all..yeah, I know). Nice score, enjoy it Sherri!
and Very HAppy TG to you and your lovely family!!!!!
xoxo
i THINK i want one too. people who see me with it will just think i am trying to get pregnant.
What a nice set! So cheerful!
I just found your blog and am enjoying your posts. You share many of the same values as my own (smaller!) family.
At first I thought this was a set of plastic bowls, but then I thought, ‘No! Sheri wouldn’t use those!’ Now I know what they really are, I’m so jealous! And what delicious food in them! I must try chickpea crunchies. Can you tell me what heat you baked them at, please? And home made trail mix…. Hmmmm…. I’m going to try that for packed lunches!
awesome feeding set. I’m definitely going to check it out. As another poster said I’m curious what your and your crew had for Thanksgiving?
How adorable! This is such a wonderful product and the best thing of all is that no toxic, chemicals touch the food. I want a set for myself because I need to pack lunch to work. All the food you put in “Thinkbaby” makes me hungry, Mmmmm!!!!
Sheri I love reading your posts. Your family as so much fun and wow I know how much you love your food containers. This would have been like Christmas morning receiving all of these
Once again, some definite inspiration for food ideas here
Heehee, yes! The thinkbaby containers were supposed to be for the kids, but I saw them, fell in love, and claimed them
Sheri
I’ve seen those around and like them alot!
“And then she threw Chickpea Crunchies at my head.”
Ha ha ha that was the best part!
Sheri
I’m sure you know, but in case you don’t thinkbaby is selling the bento boxes separately now. Also they are calling them just “think” so bigger kids can use it and not feel funny about it saying “thinkbaby”. I just ordered one bento box to try out. I also ordered a glass straw to try out. Thanks for such an awesome blog!
